Andy Miller
North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance President is a career law enforcement officer. He began his career in the United States Air Force as a Security Police Officer stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. After his enlistment was over President Miller joined the Orange County, North Carolina Sheriff’s Department. He served the Sheriff for five and a half years before leaving to join the Durham, North Carolina Police Department. President Miller has served the Durham Police Dept. for the last eighteen years as a patrol officer, bicycle officer, motorcycle officer, park patrol corporal, patrol Sergeant, staff inspector, and Lieutenant. President Miller is a familiar face in the political arena in Durham. His activities have led to many enhancements for Durham Police officers and Durham Deputies.
President Miller graduated from Lee County Senior High School in Sanford, North Carolina in 1978. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Mount Olive College. President Miller has two daughters, Lauren and Cameron. He is an active and involved citizen in his community and is committed to his family, law enforcement, and his community.
