We are membership driven and membership owned; owned by you the members. No one two or three people own the NCSPA. You the members do! There are no paid employees or employee overhead; this keeps your costs down. We use no fancy buildings for offices or space.  NCSPA member leaders maintain an office in each of our individual homes, therefore keeping membership costs at a minimum. No charge to the NCSPA or the members. 

No money for memberships or fundraisers will be used to purchase any luxury items for any reason for anyone. This includes cars, trucks and special employee vacations.   We are not investing your money or public money in the stock market or property in hopes for a financial return. We will not gamble your future. All information on expenses will be posted on the website in particular the IRS 990 FORM. This is the yearly report to the IRS on all expenses. This is and will be the most revealing document you will ever see from any non-profit organization. The NCSPA will freely present this to you. (Other organizations will not show you the IRS 990 and have become very hostile when asked to produce one) We feel this is your right as a member to see any and all financial statements associated with those of whom you trust your career with.  By presenting you the IRS 990 form we will lead by example and set the standard for other non-profit organizations to follow. This is a new standard for law enforcement organizations. Once again we are setting the standard.

Maintaining Integrity in the NCSPA is a priority! Membership dues and donations, as in any other organization, cover the costs for your defense in a time of need.

Fundraising will not be harnessed on the back of our members as they are in other organizations headquartered in another state.  NCSPA attorneys have agreed to represent our members to the fullest extent while representing their interest and what is best for them. Once your attorney has your case all negotiations are between you the member and your attorneys. We will never try to override your decisions on representation. We will not pull funds or cut off your attorney should you decide not to plea in any duty related case. Once again how you proceed with your case has the attorney client privilege. The NCSPA will support your decision what ever it may be. NCSPA leadership has cut ties with those law enforcement associations that send your money and donations from North Carolina to another state for purposes other than to support North Carolina law enforcement officers here at home.
