In the last several months there have been several changes in the make up of law enforcement organizations here in the State of North Carolina with Durham Law Enforcement setting the tone. The North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance, Fraternal Order of Police and North State have become unified and moving in a positive direction for law enforcement in Durham and through out the state. While we are different organizations we all have the same goal. As we all strive to work together for the benefit of law enforcement officers we must remember it is an uphill battle. Together we can build relationships to the future and with it the spirit of cooperation that up until recently never existed. As we have extended our hand in brotherhood to reach out to those who hold the future of law enforcement in their hands always remember together we can accomplish great things. We will always welcome those police and sheriff organizations who would like to stand not behind us or in front of us but next to us in a ways that will benefit law enforcement officers here in North Carolina.

While our organization may be separate we are all united as one with the commitment to protect the law enforcement officers and the citizen of North Carolina. It does not matter if you support the FOP, NCSPA or North State as long as you can look back and say “Its all for a great cause!” There are many choices we can make in whom we place our trust. This is and always will be a personal choice with no explanations needed. The North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance, Fraternal Order of Police lodge #2 and North State are solid organizations with a strong foundation for helping cops when they need it the most. These three organizations exemplify a strong desire to achieve a 25 year Retirement here in North Carolina, while leading the fight for better benefits for law enforcement officers here in North Carolina. None of us will provide you with smoking mirrors. Our reputations are based on hard work and dedication to those who wear the uniform and put it all on the line each and everyday. That is our promise to you!
